$300

$300
That's it.
How would you live as a single person off just $300?
Yes I know this question is all ready a cheat I have my husband who can help, but he was recently let go from his job. Well right before Christmas... His work mind you took until last week to send the information unemployment needed so yeah...
$300
For this experiment let's just say I was just me, no hubby.
You start thinking about essentials only, bills and so on. Well what do you NEED?
1. Home
2. Food
3. Gas & Electric (I've lived without it before so for myself I can go without.)
4. Car (Minus the insurance and upkeep)
That brings us to
5. Health Insurance (Thanks Obama)
As you know I have many medical issues and medicine I need so I really should always have it anyways, but let me break it down.
Remember $300
By law I have to have Health Insurance so let's start there.
•Basic low coverage Insurance - $134
•Secondary Insurance to cover what the first doesn't - $100 (I don't know the exact amount as I have to wait until the first one kicks in so the low ball estimate.)
Some of you may be asking, "why not just get the second of the first is that bad?" and that is a great question. I can't, the second insurance refused to take me on until I got the first one, and this goes for all better insurances.
But wait neither of those insurances cover prescriptions so that means...
•Prescription Plan Coverage - $68
So that's $302 just for insurance, but wait you only make $300 a month...
Not to mention our 1-4 list...
1. Home - $400
2. Food - $21 (If I only eat Ramen noodles three times a day.)
3. Gas & Electric - $100 (Roughly, that's basically the delivery fee every month.)
4. Car - $290
Numbers 1-4 may seem the most important to any normal human being, but thanks to the law #5 has to be your top priority.
So let me ask you again, as a single person how would you live off $300 a month?
